More Halloween...

 Julia looked awesome on Halloween.
She came up with the costume idea on her own, picked up everything and put it all together!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to Emily who did her make up, took the photos and supported her at the Halloween Parade at school. She is an amazing big sister!

The weather was absolutely perfect!

School parties, the ward trunk or treat and trick or treating yielded a huge stash of candy partially pictured above.

This awesome group of neighborhood kids and friends came back to our house for hot chocolate and a candy exchange. It was so fun and entertaining to listen to them barter and exchange candy!

Happy Halloween!

My weak attempt at Minnie Mouse this year...
Little does Dan know that he gets to be Mickey Mouse in our cul de sac tonight for
Granny Jax's Ward Halloweenie Roast!

Have a FUN and SAFE Halloween!

Love My Hobby

My hobby is actually my teaching job. I love it!
After school today I quickly pinned up this project on a bulletin board outside the classroom.
Our pasta skeletons weren't easy to glue together because they were miniature sized.
But the kids finished them in a marvelous fashion and we actually completed it in about 45 minutes.
No small miracle with nearly 34 kids doing it altogether.

It has been so fun teaching them about the skeletal system, especially with Halloween around the corner.
Despite all the challenges that come with learning a new job, juggling 34 little third graders for a few hours everyday, I seriously feel so lucky that I get to do this everyday!

Now, if by some miracle the glue holds the pasta to the paper and little hands walking down the hall don't pull off the pieces, the entire project will have been a huge success.

Disneyland

I will let the pictures do the talking...
but we had the BEST time! It would have been perfect if Emily could have gone.

I love Mary Poppins!
Another reason to love Disneyland...gluten free food that is GOOD!
Love this ride...one time! The rest of the gang couldn't get enough of it.
Thank you dear children for humoring your mother and waiting 45 minutes for Toy Story Mania, riding the carousel in Fantasy Land and letting me tell you all about my favorite part of Mary Poppins during the ride!
Lost count of how many times we rode Tower of Terror...awesome!
Saying goodbye to Disneyland...until next time.

New Day

A new day...
Feeling better, pretty normal...finally.
I really think I'd rather give birth than have the stomach flu.
(I know it has been 11 years since I've given birth, the mind is probably a little foggy).
This fall in Utah has been spectacular...longer than normal...wonderful!
Fall Break begins in about 6 hours for the family...
 we are so excited!

Can't wait to spend some quality time with my favorite people :)

Homecoming

It has been a BUSY and FUN day for Hilary and Hannah.
Homecoming is today and tonight and because they are in different groups, I didn't get any pictures of them together all dressed up. Oh well, they sure looked gorgeous when they left tonight!

First one to leave was Hannah...

I love her tights and shoes!

 Hannah and Jake

Last one to get home from the day date and second one to leave for the night...

Hilary

Hilary found her dress on line, added her own design touches, had it custom made and shipped to the door. I love that kind of shopping!
You can't tell, but her dress had pockets too...perfection!

Hilary and Chandler

Thank you to Emily who sacrificed a trip with friends to SLC to stay home and help these two get ready, take photos and just be the AWESOME big sister that she always is to them.

Conference and Cuddling

Conference weekend has come and is going, going,...gone.
I loved cuddling with this girl and watching
Conference from the comfort of my home with the people I love most.
