We all know about the horrible earthquake and its aftermath in Haiti. I've really been contemplating how we (our little family) can make a difference. Obviously prayers and writing out a monetary donation are at the top of our list. However, the other day, I came across these cute little "African" dolls that were leftovers from an African humanitarian project that my in-laws helped with awhile back. We have over 70 of these little handmade baby dolls. They were initially headed to D.I., but I couldn't part with them!

So came our family's idea to reach out to family, friends and neighbors who haven't had the chance to donate to any money to the various churches and organizations that are helping with the emergency effort. If you haven't donated yet, we are giving away a doll for every $10 donated to the American Red Cross. (For example, if you donate $30,
we'll deliver or mail 3 dolls to you). My girls are spearheading the collection of checks/money that will be paid in full to the American Red Cross. Our goal is to get rid of all 76 dolls. It may be a large task, but we are up for the challenge! The photos give you an idea of what the dolls look like!

Thanks for your help, not only for Haiti, but also for showing my girls that service counts!
