Pocahontas

The last few weeks Julia has been preparing for the 5th Grade "Wax Museum" at school. Each fifth grader chooses an American to learn about. Their learning culminates in a day and an evening of the kids dressing up like their selected American and talking in the first person about them. After much deliberation, Julia decided on the famous Native American, Pocahontas.

Her designated area of the classroom looked like this...

I loved watching Julia interact with those who came by her to listen to her talk.
It was pretty tiring speaking for sooooo long!

It was very impressive seeing all the costumes and displays.  I could have spent hours at the school visiting each fifth grader's display and listening to their presentations.
I have to say, my girl makes one very pretty Pocahontas!
