Joyeux Anniversaire Julia!

My newest teenager celebrated her 13th birthday with a few close friends.

And in case it is not apparent enough,

we celebrated with a flair for all things French.

My baby girl is in the double digits --10 years old today!

She knew she needed to come into this world a little earlier than expected--about a month early in fact. She had a few problems when she was born and had to have a full blood exchange on Mother's Day in 2000. From that day on, she has thrived!

Did I mention that she was the best baby ever?

I enjoyed every minute of her being a baby, knowing it would have to be my last.

This girl never stops...

she loves to play hard and she works hard as well.

Simply put, she loves life and...

we love her!

Almost 17

My oldest child is almost 17...

I'm posting this today because...

her actual birthday is jam-packed with non related birthday things...

so sorry Emily!

A few things about Emily that you may not know...

she loves the rain and cold weather...

her eyelashes are to die for (she actually has to comb them)...

she can do anything she wants to do and do it exceptionally well...

she fills our house with beautiful music...

she is our in house audio visual/computer technician, math tutor, photographer and so much more...

she is her parents' guinea pig...

we all love her tons!

Party Time

Today was Julia's birthday party with her friends and this officially concludes the birthday bashes for at least 21 days when we will celebrate Emily's birthday.




Julia chose a Hawaiian theme and the whole family got into the party spirit by sporting their Hawaiian attire.




All the girls seemed to like the crafting part of the party--they are so easy to entertain!


And although this picture doesn't depict it, the older girls were a HUGE help throughout the party!

Nine years ago today Julia Josephine was born in Provo, Utah nearly a month early. She was the calmest, sweetest baby from the get go. Despite her heels being poked numerous times a day to check her blood and being hooked up to IV and having a blindfold over her eyes, she rarely cried.

Her pleasant disposition continued after we were able to bring her home from the hospital and she has been a joy ever since!

Her big brown rootbeer eyes and deep dimpled cheeks always melt our hearts! We love you so much JJ. Happy 9th Birthday baby girl!
